It’s no secret I’m in love with cardio. Running and spinning are my jam!
But, I’ve been wanting to add strength training into my cardio-based routines for awhile now. You know how it goes – – you talk about changing up your fitness regimen for what feels like forever before you actually take action, right??
When I try other workouts here and there, I go running back to cardio (pun intended) because the other exercises just haven’t seemed fun to me personally. It’s not energetic enough for me or I don’t feel like my heart is pumping enough. But when it comes to HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) I just haven’t even given it a shot.

I am officially on a strength training journey!
I have the fabulous Blaze Shipley with Blaze Shipley Fitness by my side. She is a sweetheart and total fitness pro. We met in Arizona through our hubby’s being teammates on the Arizona Cardinals. She creates amazing step-by-step workout plans and is there for me every step of the way!
So, she has answered my looming question, “where do I begin!?” Now I have a plan of action written out for me, am fully on board, and so excited about this process ahead!
Monday 7/10 was my first day. Today is day 3 in the gym, so it’s real y’all!
Of course, I will be sharing my experience as well as tips along the way!
